We’re making up for lost time and have extended Birmingham Wine Weekend to a whole week this year! The festival runs from 4–10 April.

Yes absolutely, just be sure to send each friend their e-ticket so they have their ticket number as they will need this to access the Birmingham Wine Weekend App.

Yes, you need a smartphone in order to download the Birmingham Wine Weekend App. This is where you’ll find your Wine Pass, your very own personalised digital wine passport, the key to your grape adventure! Without this you won’t be able to order any festival wines, redeem any offers or attend any of our events.
The app will work best with the latest operating system on your phone but the minimum requirement is:
Android: 5.0 Lollipop operating system
iPhone: ios11 (2017) -

Your ticket gets you access to the Birmingham Wine Weekend App. This where you’ll find your Wine Pass; your very own personalised digital wine passport, the key to your grape adventure!
Your Wine Pass gives you access to each venues selected festival wines. Having the app is like having a wine expert in your pocket! You can use it to access all of the tasting notes for the wines being served up during the festival.
The Birmingham Wine Weekend App makes it incredibly easy to plan your route around the city. You can read up on all the participating venues, bookmark the special places you want to visit and then use the handy interactive map to navigate your way around the city.
Your Wine Pass also unlocks access to our curated schedule of special events and a selection of dining offers!

Yes. Birmingham Wine Weekend starts when the first venue opens on Monday 4 April and it continues right through until the last venues closes on Sunday 10 April. Your Wine Pass is valid for the whole week. That means you can dip into the festival for just one evening of wine tasting or enjoy sipping wine and attending fantastic events all week long!

Every venue we work with offers non-alcoholic alternatives in some form, not all of our venues offer alcohol free wine.

You must be aged 18+ to participate in Birmingham Wine Weekend.

Some venues do have a dress code. If a venue has a dress code it will be outlined on the Birmingham Wine Weekend App.

You can buy 1 glass of wine by showing your Wine Pass at a participating venue’s bar. If you’re with a group, all group members will need to show their Wine Passes too.
There are no restrictions on how many times you and your group can order but we’d encourage you to explore the city and sample different festival wines to get the most out of the Birmingham Wine Weekend experience.
As always, every venue retains the right to decline service as they see fit.

Tickets are non refundable. However, if you are testing positive for COVID-19 at the time of the festival, please do not attend the event. Please contact us to reschedule your tickets to our 2023 festival.
