Making the most of the BWW Festival App
Let’s do this!
The very first thing you need to do in order to participate in Birmingham Wine Weekend is buy your e-ticket on Eventbrite. Next up, you need to download the app:
The BWW App is where you’ll find your Wine Pass; your very own personalised digital wine passport, the key to your grape adventure!
Once you’ve registered your details on the app, this is how you find your Wine Pass
Showing your Wine Pass at each participating venue will unlock access to specially selected wines at fantastic prices, exclusive to BWW! Each of our venues will be serving you two of the following:
• A specially selected glass of wine (£5)
• A perfect wine and canapé pairing (£7)
At some of our hand-picked venues, you’ll even find the option of an exclusive premium wine flight.
You’ll also need to show your wine pass to access our special events and exclusive offers.
The Birmingham Wine Weekend App makes it incredibly easy to plan your route around the city. You can read up on all the participating venues, bookmark the special places you want to visit and then use the handy interactive map to navigate your way around the city.
When you get to a BWW venue, the first thing you need to do is check in. You’ll find a poster with a QR code at every venue. If you’ve chosen not to find out which wine is served at each venue in advance of the festival then checking in will also unlock the details of that venue’s wines!
The BWW app is where you’ll find the tasting notes for every wine being showcased as part of the festival. You can rate the wines you’ve tasted and save your own comments so you can reflect on all the delicious wines you’ve tried and what you liked best. We can’t wait to find out which wines you rate most!
When you’re planning your BWW journey, you can use the bookmark functionality in the app to save places you want to visit, wines you want to taste, events you want to go to and offers you want to try. In the ‘Tasted Wines’ section you’ll also find a list of all the wines you tried during the festival.
